1990 to 1995 Engineering Manager
- Supervised tooling and maintenance depts. Consisting of 20 pattern makers, journeyman machinists and technicians, responsible for maintaining all 250 existing patterns and coreboxes, new capital projects, procurement, P&L, vendor qualification, budgets, forecasting, scheduling, training, safety systems, sourcing, logistics, layout of new Disamatic tooling and patterns to assure dimensional accuracy, estimating costs, inventory control.
Key Projects
Developed modular patterns/coreboxes for vertical pouring, achieved less than 2% scrap saved company $6.5 MIL.in pattern and corebox manufacturing.
Specified and completed capital cost justification for a 5 axis CNC vertical mill, automatic tool changer, placed on production floor, and set up for production.


TEXAS INSTRUMENTS, Dallas, TX. - Mfr. Military missile production
1986 to 1990 Lead Tool Designer
Designed assembly tooling for Harm / Harpoon missile production,

CNC machine tooling to support 324 CNC horizontal / vertical milling machines and lathes up to 5 axis, created programming, PIM, check fixtures, inspection systems. FMS using up to 4 CNC milling machines with up to 45 tombstones for cells.
Saved company $860k on modularizing tooling for machining and production.


MARTIN MARIETTA, New Orleans, La. - Mfr. Space Shuttle fuel Tank
9-79 to 3-86 Project Manager/Tool Design Engineer
- Designed and machined assembly tooling for NASA's Space Shuttle Fuel Tank, flight structures, piping and cryogenics, machine design, overhead cranes, large gantry systems, spray foam application and curing, assembly and testing of Liquid Ox and Hydrogen tanks.
